Built Different
Most bronzing oils pick one or two good ingredients and call it a day. We built ours to nourish, repair, shimmer and shine...and Vogue noticed!
When Vogue featured Sundae Glow, I went to the shelf and started reading labels. We hadn't thought about it before the Vogue feature but we wanted to understand what we were actually being measured against. What I found confirmed what I already suspected from formulating: the category is built around a very short formula. Shimmer mineral, one or two carrier oils, synthetic emollient base mostlt silicones and fragrance. That is the standard.
There is nothing wrong with that formula. It does what it promises. It catches light and it feels nice going on. But it is not doing anything once it's there. The fragrance is cosmetic. The oils are chosen for texture and absorption speed, not for what they deliver to the skin underneath the shimmer.
Here is what the category looks like on the label, and what we built instead.

Industry standard ingredient categories sourced from published labels of leading shimmer body oils. Formulas vary by brand and are subject to change.
The thing that becomes clear when you lay them side by side: the industry chose the formula that delivers the experience. We chose the formula that also delivers the result. The glow is the same. What's underneath it is what your skin's missing.
That's why the essential oils do double duty as both the fragrance and an active skin treatment. That's why the herbal infusion exists at all inside a shimmer product. That's why every oil in the carrier layer was picked for it's nourishing and repair properties, not just how fast it absorbs. We're stacking multiple actives, the herbal infusion, the essential oil blend, the emollient layer and running that at the same time as the shimmer.
The objective is an instant glow while our formula slowly enrich the layers of your skin responsible for a natural healthy glow.
